FS: 4mm Radian

Post by elton »

Still in time for Mars....

Takahashi FS102 NSV fluorite APO. 2005 new short version OTA + clam shell tube ring with retractable dew shield. Like new optics and tube finish. You saw it last night mounted on the Vixen Sphinx at Mars Watch. When fully retracted, it is much shorter than it looks.

4mm Radian. My workhorse ep for the last mars opposition but has since been replaced by other exotic planetary eps. Excellent condition.

Price :
FS102 - S$3150
4mm Radian - S$300
Please reply to this thread and PM me.

Raising money for the big one

is it to someone active from Singastro? would like to think the scope will not disappear...had some memorable views through it , both in Mersing and during Mars watch.

I had some great views of Mars and the Veil Nebula thru it too! That FS-102, which my friend bought, is now mated with a Sphinx & Astroslew mount.

Though was bitten by the APO bug, aperture still rules for anything other than widefield views. For anything <2 deg fov, the teleport was much better. Details on mars which need to struggle to see on the fs are obvious in the teleport. deep sky is no fight. but an apo has high "desire" value. don't be surprised if i buy another in the future.

ps. in case you are wondering, rlow did not buy it ;) but he is right about the rest

pps. the teleport may be on sale too ..... =P
