I have a decade-old Televue diagonal. The mirror is too dirty. Since I plan to upgrade my WO diagonal by adding a 99% dielectric mirror, I try replacing the TV mirror with the WO 97% mirror. The following photo shows the 97% mirror removed from the diagonal.

This shows how dirty the TV mirror is
The mirror is held in collimation by the spongy material pushing the mirror against the 45 deg inclined surface.

The WO mirror is smaller and thinner the TV mirror. So, I use a 3mm flexifoam to shim.

The mirror is placed securely in the aluminum case.

Once assembled, the WO is held firmly in the TV diagonal. It is another DIY project for this month

Hi Anat,
You did it again. What happened to the WO after the transplant?
