Hong Kong Amateur Astronomy?
I will be visiting Hong Kong in October 2012, and I'm wondering whether HK has any astro-related things I should see or do. I know that HK has a Space Museum. Are there any shops that sell quality telescopes or other astro gear? Are there any regular star parties worth attending? Thank you. William ...

Are you accounting for the currency exchange rate??? Also, you are so close to Japan and China, so you should get some equipment more cheaply, right??? I have to admit that you are right about the U.S. amateurs having it better!! Hehehe. But, you know, where I happen to live -- Austin, Texas -- is a...

ED 127 triplet apo refractors
Has anyone tried the new-ish ED127 triplet apo's coming out of China and sold under various brand names, such as Meade, Explore Scientific, North Group, and Maxvision? The different brands have slightly different features. The scopes have been getting great reviews in the Australian and European ama...

Visiting Singapore
I am planning to visit Singapore in 2005, and I am wondering what astronomy-related museums, shops, etc. that Singapore has that might be worth a visit. For example, are there any good telescope shops? Planetariums? Observatories? Regularly-held star parties? Is the Science Center worth a visit? I v...

Vixen FL102S
I recently purchased a Vixen FL102S fluorite doublet refractor, and I am curious as to whether Vixen telescopes, and the FL102s in particular, are popular in Asia and, in particular, Singapore. Vixen telescopes are relatively rare in the United States.
Thank you.
