Retro Plate Solve Helix Nebula (NGC7293 - Eye of God)
Current weather condition limits one's astro activities to re-processing pass data. Found this Helix Nebula taken 31 Aug 2013 from hard disk. Captured at Bedok South, with TS-65/420 Scope, Canon 500D mod. Re-adjusted Level and Curve - looks brighter now and covered up most of the Noise. Retro Plates...

Re: Astrophotography from a roof terrace
It is quite intuitive to practicing imagers that Bortle class do vary over our small island. (Refer rifleman175's A Method of Determining the Bortle Class at my Observation Site), i do agree with rifleman's finding that "the light pollution at Senkang is around Bortle 7.0 at altitude of 55 degr...

Re: Best weather app for AP in Singapore
Hi Bernard & cytan, yes indeed it is possible to do AP with just partially clear sky. (We can't image the whole sky all at one go anyway, unless using fish eye lens) so at worse, some subs may be discarded if found to be affected by the changing sky condition. cytan's Astro Physics Skymodelling ...

Re: Faint Galaxies (M99 etc) taken at D'Kranji farm resort (07 Jun 2015)
Thanks Richard, noted. Ya, dust does get in easily while take in take out of the camera. Meanwhile, i am considering to capture the M81 + M82 galaxies with 200mm f2.8 lens on Canon DSLR working with the Skyguider-pro mount. Planned next year Mar to May period. As these object can only climb up to ar...
