Giant water spout sighted!
Anybody seen this giant water spout making its debut off the southern shore at about 14:45? The scale of this spout is huge!

Hi Cataclysm, Personally, I would not recommend the mod from the outset, at least not before a few successfully attempt in capturing a few non H-alpha or/bright objects using the stock body first. Infact, many of these objects looks more photogenic with a stock DSLR, than with a modified one. ie M42...

I have mixed sentiment about canon L telephoto lens. IMHO, there are no better way to image below 200mm fl without resorting to telephoto lens as telescope don't go this wide.
