Re: My astrophotography 2021
No idea. Have you tried drift alignment? I want to but the MSM tracker is not compatible to any of the softwares nor guide scope. not sure if the software like PHD2 can be linked to the camera to do drift alignment? Isn't the MSM tracker for wide angle milky way shots? Not sure if it's sturdy enoug...

Re: My astrophotography 2021
hmm. is it set to the correct rotation direction (south rather than north, i.e. CW vs CCW)? what's the primary direction of the star trail? Yup, set to south and It tend to trail south west. No idea. Re: My astrophotography 2021
No experience with MSM tracker. If you are shooting wide angle, I don't understand why trailing is present in 3-4s frames. Do you use a remote shutter release -- or a timer? I am using a medium telephoto of 85mm full frame equivalent. For my tracker, make it face south and aligned everything to the...

Re: My astrophotography 2021
Thanks. Can you give more details of your system? It sounds not like the trailing might not be primarily attributed to polar alignment error. I am using a move shoot move tracker and an Olympus Pen as my set up No experience with MSM tracker. If you are shooting wide angle, I don't understand why t...

Re: My astrophotography 2021
Amazing photos, i will like to ask how you do your polar alignment, i followed the Google maps method but i do get trailings when i shoot however the good news is that the trailing is very consistent irregardless of exposure time from 3-4s all the way to 60s in the length which puzzles me greatly T...
