Re: Question on Deep Sky Stacker

Pardon the question... Really a beginner in this... I noticed there is a message "Don't forget to add the dark frames in the stacking tab" under the Register Settings. See attached file. May I know what that means? As mentioned, I have already checked all my Light, Dark and Bias frames. Don't unders...

Re: Question on Deep Sky Stacker

I also noticed in the Luminance tab, that I'm not able to get a S-Curve... Adjusting the Dark slider has no ...

The resultant image is a very blend/ monotone TIFF image. I understand this is rightfully so (??)... Ho...

Re: My Astrophotography Journey

Central Milky Way Region
Taken with ISO 4000, 47mm, F4, 13 sec

I think I can reduce the ISO and bump up the exposure time to reduce the grainy effect?

Re: My Astrophotography Journey

Hi Remus
Thanks for your tip. Will definitely try them out. Are you referring to the Microsoft Image Composite Editor? I'm a Mac user.. cannot run this program... will try out other softwares to see if there are better ones.

Re: MERSING Expeditions (Next Trip: 20-22 MAR 2015) Info/Rep

Was there in Feb... Took my first pictures of milky way and startrails. Have done some post processing. Please feel free to comment so that I know what to improve on. :)

Due to the limited file size, the resolution of the startrails appears pixelated.
