Hi,
I was just wondering had anyone seen M1 in Singapore?? If yes, what aperture you use, what magnification and any filter use?
Thanks and have a nice day.

Ah yes, M1 ... if I remember correctly, during one of our Singastro ob sessions a loooong time back, someone did mention something about having observed M1 from East Coast, with a 6" Reflector. That's all I remembered though.weixing wrote:Hi,

Hi Weixing
I have seen at home and image it with LX90 at Dempsey. Under a less then ideal sky, it was dim fuzzy ( mag 8 ). Would not have seen it without goto, it took out a lot of guesswork. I feel that magnification is up to ones taste for this small object (Size between Ring and Dumbell). I dont think emmisson line filter helps very much here for supernovas remnants since they are comprise of broad emission spectrum. I might be wrong thou. For imaging it is a different story.
Cheers

seen it before using my previous Portaball 8" scope at Woodlands. Not too difficult to find with the Portaball, but need to know where to look.....weixing wrote:Hi,
