I think you don't put short form for the item in the list. I think you mean First Scope 102AZ when you put down fs102az, right? By default, when you put down fs102, people will think it is a Takahashi fs102. But the price will not be that low.

Have a nice day.

dude, the advanced C6N is it the tube only or the Advanced Series CG5-GT mount with a 6" reflector? If it's a whole package, 990 is a good buy!

I also received the promotion. I am eyeing at the fs144eq short since the price is so attractive and also with the free bino. Can anyone give comments on this scope? btw, I am a beginner...

I think you meant the fs114EQ short. OK generally, but got several points to note:

1. I dun think Celestron is so generous to use a parabolic mirror for the scope, its probably a spherical one. This might cause some spherical aberration, esp since the scope has a short focal length.

2. Even if the mirror is parabolic, (which i doubt) coma is quite a problem in short f-length newts.

3.Since it has short focal length, you will need short f-length eps with barlow to achieve high magnification. This can be uncomfortable becos of low eye relief.

BUT, the scope will give you nice low power views with a large TFOV, like M45.
