First highlight is the Mare Orientale, which some of you had already seen.

2nd highlight would be occulation of Jupiter, anybody interested?

3rd one would be Quadrantid meteor shower, but i doubt we have the proper skies to observe it.

I checked with TheSky software, closest approach from Jupiter to the Moon will be around 10:00 am on the 4th, about 40' separation, no occultation seen from Singapore.

Cheers

just came back from my session. woke up at ard 4.45am, went peeing and took a look outside the window, looks gd. grab my bino, looks better. quickly pack up and rush downstairs.

First target, moon. found grimaldi. moved bottom right(bottom left in my scope) to the edge of the moon. saw 2 thin streaks. quickly set up my cam and took a few shots. clouds started to pass, so i just have to wait till it clears up.

jupiter and moon are rather near. managed to fit into the fov of my scope so i took a few shots as well.

so who else woke up and enjoyed the mare orientale?
