Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.

It's still not too late to organize a trip for the convention. It will be held this Friday to Sunday. Saturday is the main day with many VIP coming. Carpooling will be a great idea. Can just get a hotel room and everyone can squeeze in. There is a hotel just a kilometer away.
I'll be busy during the convention. But I can still take some time off to take any of you to test out Penang food.
Let me or Mickath know your plan, and we can help getting you around Penang.
I hope to see you guys in Penang!

Regards,
CK
Hi CK,

Do you have program for Fri-Sun or can I find them at which website ?
Might be interested to go down Fri-Sat.

Hi,
I keep wondering after seeing the above photo of the dob... Have you try to put on the finder scope after you set up the dob??
:k-?: :k-?:

If I remember correctly, the vixen/sky-watcher style finder scope holder only allow you to insert the finder bracket in one direction which is block by that big screw.

Have a nice day.

Hi,

There is not much of a problem, the finder bracket can be shifted higher
or centre of the timber panel.

Thanks

What do you mean small?? Your Celestron 6" Newtonian is also F5.

Have a nice day.

Yes, it is. My apologies...started by my comment :-)
Anyway, CK, there is already a topic titled Perseid's Truss Dob. Perhaps you can continue from there.

Arief : Can I trouble you to repost the image there? thanks!
