Clementi looks 'o-k' with low fast passing clouds.

The gentle light of a distant galaxy
must needs pour into mine eye.
Or i shall with bent and turned,
fall me down, distraught..To die.

Dempsey is certainly closer to home for me. Won't leave here till later. Haven't been there before but will try to make it.

CSN was activated and quite a few people were there...David Lian, Chung Hooi, Mooey, Koh JB (and his 9.25 Celestron scope!) and Chris Yeo.
I know weixing was conducting his session at Tampines with Arief and Dan (new LX90!).
By the time I rushed to Dempsey, the new scope curse had taken its course and the sky become 100% covered. Strangely, my home in hougang as well as Tampines cleared up after that...
Saw nothing much tonight....a meteor, Comet Machhoz at Dempsey and , Jupiter, Saturn and Orion at my home car park...sigh...

but at least I got to meet singastro newcomer Koh JB...heh heh
was amazed Vincent did not come as he was salivating over the 9.25 the first time it was mentioned here but then I remembered he and Matthew were probably in Penang for that Astro Convention...

Gee it was really strange. It looked to be a really clear night (again) and I had finally set up the scope and proceeding to align it. Then when Rich came, this curtain of clouds seemed to draw over the skies in a flash and blotted out everything! Sigh. :( After everyone packed up and dispersed, and I made it back home, I looked up and the skies were clear again! Hmm... wonder what I should conclude from that ? :) Oh, at least I got to see Chris' dob (was niiice) and Rich's ED80 (drool).

CSN was started by Chee Chien who happens to stay near Dempsey. It stands for Clean Sky Network. Whenever the sky is clear, he will activate CSN and everyone will proceed to Dempsey observation site. hee hee
Nowadays, because Chee Chien is on overseas duty in the US and sky is bad, we don't get much activation. Last night was one where I was able to help CC do his work!
Anyway, for those who find Dempsey inconvenient, there's always Weixing's Tampines "Branch".....
Look at the sticky post on this forum for details on Dempsey.
