The observation tonight (20 Jan 2005) will be conduct in Singapore Poly till around 23:00 tonight. Tomorrow (21 Jan 2005) night will also have an overnight observation session in Singpore Poly.
All are welcome.

How were the views last night from poly? I actually went to Dempsey again since I really didn't get to observe much last time I was there. Anyway, I was the only one there but my 2 sons had come along with me. It's quite an ideal site for me cos it's close by, easy car access, etc, so I was wondereing what the different sites have to offer (besides the good company of course) ?

View from the Poly was great, with slight haze and passing clouds. Managed to hunt down the comet but the brilliance was overshadowed by the bright moon.
Most of the elusive objects were washed out by the moon, leaving only open clusters and globulars. Overall the night was good as most of us got together for a long awaited 'chit chat under the starlight'.
We also had a fellow singastroians, Andrew, joining us during the observation. Brought with him a Canon bino with IMAGE STABALIZER. The effects of the stabalizer was significant. All the minor vibrations induced by the hand was smoothen out. Thanks for sharing the binoculars with us!
