Thinnest moon, anyone have any idea?

After reading the article, I'm a little curious as to when the moon will be at it's thinnest in SG. Anybody free enough to read that article and figure out the date and time for me?

Yeah. Read it a few days ago too. Got me all curious about it as well. Anybody know a date and time? Well, I guess I won't go all hardcore on finding it but it'll be nice to know so as to look out for it.

Thanks guyz and have a good day.

i was jz browsing through the old posts.. was trying it out on starry night... new moon is on august 5, 2005... around 12:40pm.. so u really cannot see it...

possible to see a thin crescent on august 6.. age of moon is around 1.16 days old... around after 6:30pm..

depending on where u r.. if theres nothing blocking ur horizon and its not cloudy...

at around 6:30pm, moon alt is around 24º if im reading starry night correctly... is starry night really accurate? jz my two cents worth :P

moon is easily visible anywhere la. just that figuring the date for the thin thin moon is tricky. esp when ur ob session is fixed on thur. since u asked, go grab a lunar calendar and figure out the date and tell me later.

for those who are interested, try either 27th/28th/3th/4th of the lunar calendar.

do note, for dates ard 27th/28th, u have to wake up freaking early. the moon will rise at roughly 5.30-6.00am and the sun will rise shortly, killing off ur fun.

for those who wish to try 3th/4th, u have to start early at maybe 6pm and slowly wait in the horizon. most likely u will be catching it in the twilight.

if u dowan so much stress in ur life. can always move 1 days earlier/later. just that it wouldn't be that thin anymore.

Maybe you can catch the thinnest slice before new moon by viewing it nearby the sun during the day time (Be very careful!!).
