MWTS: Celestron Advanced Series CG5 GOTO on Pier - SOLD

Post by ariefm71 »

Hi,

I'm selling my Celestron AS CG5-GOTO equatorial mount on a stable Astrosky Deluxe Pier, selling without the counterweight (can get the cw from singastro vendors or astro scientific).

Mount is rated up to 30lbs (i.e. up to a C11) for visual use and 15lbs for astrophotography. GOTO comes with 40,000+ object database with 400 user-definable objects and Autoguider port for long exposure astrophotography.

Review of mount here:
http://www.cloudynights.com/premium2/Mounts.htm
http://www.singastro.org/viewtopic.php? ... hlight=cg5

Pier can be disassembled for transport, see pics here:
http://www.singastro.org/viewtopic.php?t=1490

Selling both mount and pier for $1,100.00
OR mount only for $900.00

cheers,
Arief

I'll be happy to learn astrophotography with you. Call me along if you intend to do some imaging work someday!

Hi Chris,
Sure, haven't got any dslr yet, so will probably use weixing's camera first during tampines/changi obs sessions.

No problem, but make sure you got your C8 T-Adapter.

Have a nice day.

Since I will mostly use a small refractor for AP, thinking of down(up?)grading to a smaller jap-made non-goto GEM. Changed to MWTS and reduced the price.

Btw, the mount tracks accurately and GOTO brings objects within the fov of low power eyepieces most of the time (tested in mersing recently).
