Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

If I buy the LX90, have to ship by sea lah, otherwise it'll be very very expensive by air, enough maybe to buy a DSI!

Anyway, I think I will wait it out. There was one seller who just sold his LX90 set with lots of accessories for US$1000. That would have been a good deal. A few of the online retailers are selling the 125 with free LPI at $875 or so. If I sell the LPI, the scope would effectively cost about $750, so a new 125 is always an option :)

I have a find a scope before I leave!

(PS: Arief, thanks for the link, I'll try emailing the guy and hopefully he replies this time!)

has anyone here experienced shipping literally by ship? as in by sea? cause i was considering it for my own scope before but horror stories on the net just completely convinced me to forget it.

Why not consider your local Meade authorised dealer.
Our price for Export Meade 8" LX90 LNT UHTC
is S$4700 w/o warranty
is S$5300 w/ 12 full warranty.

Delivery ex-stock from KL to prior sales.

Thanks Lee for letting me know. One reason why I want to buy the LX90 here in the US is so that I can get it supercharged by Dr. Clay without incurring high shipping costs if I were to ship it from Singapore (and then back). Having said that, however, if I don't manage to find a good LX90 deal here, I will definitely consider your prices given that they are already in Singapore. Thanks!
