you're saying since processing chicken for food is as inhumane as this video clip, so you feel that skinning the animals like that for fur trade is acceptable?

chickens are killed for a purpose, that is to feed us. Inhumane to kill them? Hardly, they are breed for that reason, and they fulfilled that purpose of feeding us, they are food and we need them to carry on with our everyday lives(unless you tell me you're are vegetarain, then I got nothing to say). They are killed for a valid reason.

As for fur, I can see no valid reason why people should kill them. We can still live without fur(unless again you tell me that you need fur because you live in some cold country and it's essential for your survival, then I got nothing to say also). If it is for some fashion thingy, something to wear because it makes you good look, then, I would say that killing them are inhumane regardless the method.

hmm... for once i realised that those pirated designer-brands goods sellers are beneficial. those designer-brands goods use all those expensive and genuine skins, which might have gone through the process of what happened in the video. as for the pirated goods sellers, the fur and stuffs are cheap and unwanted (lol, from garbage), thus it probably would be more humane :? :bangwall:

just as we can live without chickens too....those people better be vegetarians.....not like the hypocrites that say you should not eat dogs but tuck into their beef burgers. why? cos' dogs are cuter...?
they say dogs not for eating...who is it to say so? they are all edible. its just that chickens and cows are domesticated earlier for food and dog had another role....imagine ancient humans eat dogs for food and tigers were domesticated as guard animals..then people will be saying why must eat tigers since dogs already bred for food?...

and don't wear leather belts and use leather products cause we don't need it actually..they are not essential for survival. you can use PCV belts and wallets..but people want it! so cows die to cater to this unnecessary need.
humans are omnivores..we can survive on vege...
you know how they slaughter cows? they slit its throat and let it bleed to death...still want to eat Mac Donald's burgers...the same fur people probably do...

the fact of the matter is there is an eco system here...and not everything is based on survival. humans consume resources...living and non living..that's the way we live...if we give up civilisation , we will still be consuming these resources...maybe have to resort to eating all sorts of animals. remember iraq after its fall? most of the animals were eaten by hungry people!

i think the method matters...the animals should not suffer extreme pain or pain at all if it can be helped......and no, I don't think there's a need to wear fur...I prefer Nike windbreakers!

ok ok...don't flame me...just wanted to present another perspective after seeing a relatively one-sided discussion... :-)

ps i can see the video...looks like another of those dumb sites that don't support netscape...from what I read, it sounds the video showed minks being skinned alive for their fur...that's definitely cruel...
