The Carina Nebula

Why did I not shoot LRGB for the Carina nebula? Simply the target was low and fast dropping behind the treeline. Also I was a bit uncomfortable staying long in that environment.

So let me blend the Ha data from this session (ASI183MM Pro) with L-eNhance data from the early Feb session (ASI2600MC). I think it visually is much better than either of the two alone.

Full-moon! (More exactly, 15 hours to full moon)

Cannot miss the super pink Ramadan full moon setting and rising.

Really thick haze on the horizon on 2021-4-27 morning.

It was a bit cloudy at the time of moonrise, but I took a chance at Punggol settlement and the first moment I looked towards the eastern horizon, the moon was breaking from the clouds.



This is when it fully cleared the clouds.




Back home, the moon was rising above the crank tower across the street.

Less time on deep-sky imaging, more fun in "shallow" sky photography.

May will see Venus and Mercury return to the show. Cannot wait.

Too bad the western low sky was full of clouds --- my hope to see Venus and Mercury was denied by SG weather, again.

Camera was turned to Mars and Orion.

Thunders bid farewell to the great Orion, which is leaving the night sky scene.




Mars now is travelling in Gemini. Has passed M35. (16) Psyche is in the view.
