SP Astronomers Funomynite V

Post by geraldine »

Hi everyone,

SP Astronomers would be having our annual event, Funomynite V ! Funomynite which actually stands for Fun-Of-My-Night, will be staging a talk related to astronomy and afterwhich, an observation session if good skies permit.

Keeping fingers crossed, Remus CJ would be giving a talk related Albert Einstein's impact on astronomy since this year is Einstein's centenary, we ought to pay "tribute" to his marvellous findings!!

And do look out for an Einstein-lookalike during the show! :D

The details of the event is as follow:

Date: 17th June 05 ( Friday)
Time: 1900-2200 Hrs (Good weather with night observations)
1900-2100 Hrs ( Bad weather)
Venue: LT14(A)
Nearest MRT: Dover

Please be seated by 7pm.

Direction signs to the LT would be available , so no worries about reaching to the Lecture Theatre. If not, ring us up and we'll deploy guides to Dover MRT.

Hope to hear from you guys asap and do confirm with me or kunloong (kamikazer) your attendance. Appreciate it a lot!

Any enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact me at 93850824 (HP)
or Kunloong at 98205450 (HP).

Regards,
Geraldine

Dear All,

I've just received the latest news about the details of the Talk tomorrow during Funomynite. Remus is going to give a talk on the fundamentals of Unification theories, which of course, WILL cover part of the very famous String Theory. So for those of you out there dying for some cosmology and physics knowledge, do come down early and grab yourselves a good seat.

Regards,
Sam
