iridium flare

Post by ykchia »

Hi folks:

After watching the Cresent and Venus in the kitchen window I proceeded to do up the video 'trap' and waited for the Iridium 15 Sat evening around 20:34.
I re- ran the tape through the meteor software and created this time lapsed single jpg.

Hi:

Should be reliable..... and make sure your watch is accurate down to a few seconds.

Yup. Heavens above and Calsky both give accurate predictions. Flares last only less than five seconds so you must really know where to look and when down to the second. Otherwise you'll miss it.

Regards,
Chris
