Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Wow. So am I. Wonder what the shipping cost would be like.
Btw, newbie question here. Is the auto-tracking on the DSX125 good enough for astrophotography?

Welcome to Singastro, Starguardian!

Meade doesn't ship out of the US unfortunately, so you would have to try Vpost usa. The mount isn't designed for astro-photography, but short duration exposures may be possible. Take this with a big pinch of salt since I am unfamiliar with astrophotogrphy. Weixing or some of the other imaging gurus should be better placed to give an advice :)

The optics of this scope is excellent but budget Meade mounts are generally not known for accuracy, reliability or sturdines... So be prepared to tinker with the scope mechanically if you get it.

cheers

Hi,
Btw, newbie question here. Is the auto-tracking on the DSX125 good enough for astrophotography?
Depend on what type of astrophotography you are interested. If your target is planets, moon or the sun (only require short exposure time), basically any scope and mount will do, but prefer a tracking mount.

If your target is DSO... star cluster, galaxy or nebula (require longer exposure time), a "fast" (short F-Ratio) scope is better and a good EQ mount with tracking will be require.

Have a nice day.
