Hi folks:
Nearly totally given up hope for the Perseids. A walk around 3:30am saw the sky still overcasted. I still 'put' out the video lens and also watched indoor from the TV... The result - 2 meagre Perseids detected...

Perseids? meteor showers
over at mersing, it was bit cloudy for a period around 1 to 2am. then on, there were high altitude clouds and so ... sky wasn't black. we managed to see approximately 20 meteors with 3-4 fireballs.
this new site(mersing airfield) wasn't as dark as the original mersing site with coconut trees.
cheers.

hi all,
yes, just came back from Mersing too. Occasional fireballs with really long smoke trails. Observed that some of them were slightly greenish tinted and surprisely slower than typical Leonid trains... Not much though...only managed to see about 10-15 per hour, but the others might have been more observant. ;P

I saw three (2 of them from Perseids, another probably random) meteors from 2am to 3am on Saturday night. It was like 95 percent of the sky was cloudy when I got there.. even the 'window' was not that dark too. Well.. at least I saw three and did not waste my time travelling to Pasir Ris Park to watch.
