For Sale : Brand new Skywatcher 8x50 Finder

Post by Airconvent »

Hi
I have a brand new Skywatcher 8x50 finder. Standard inverted straight through type. Used only once so its in just-delivered condition.

I'm looking to sell it off to finance a right angled erect image 6x30 finder.
I can't orientate an inverted image and my injured knee can do with less acrobatic angles...

If you are interested, do PM me. Selling it complete with brand new holder for $110 (quite negotiable if you are a geunine buyer).

Will also consider a trade deal for what I am looking for.

Thanks

right angle erect gary russel 9x60 finder

Post by wucheeyiun »

hi airconvent,

Have one for sale or trade...you interested please pm me,
this finder came from arief, to david lian then me, i made some improvements to the finder bracket ...

Come with meade MA reticle 25mm ep.

Now with enlarge bracket, centering the image is a breeze. problem with fuzzy reticle is still apparent, but image is bright and sharp.

thanks chee yiun
will take its picture tomorrow and show you.
its a standard skywatcher finder using a standard 3 screw dovetail bracket.

Is yours a right angle and erect image finder? what's the specs? I am also looking for one with a dovetail mount, so the finder can be interchanged between my C5 and N8....yours looks like it is screwed on?

cheers

Hi Airconvent,

It is an erect image finder too, it is a 9 x 60mm Gary Russel finder, specs which you can gather from the net. the good thing is that it comes with a seperate 25mm meade ma reticle eyepiece which means you can connect to other suitable eyepieces.

The bracket is screwed on to the sct, if i get your 8 x 50mm finder, i may need a dovetail from Joo Beng for sct.

I tried to connect this finder to a CCD for guiding purpose...but lately after binoviewing, i am goiing back to prime focus and visual...

Hi all,
The finder is still available, looking for an owner that will put it to work!
The finder comes with an SCT type dovetail bracket. Both items are brand new condition and used only once (for about an hour). I am upgrading to a a 50mm right angle erect finder.

PRICE OF THE FINDER+BRACKET REDUCED TO $95.

ps, thanks to Chee Yiun for his offer of trade. again, in the midst of considering his 6x30, I was cornered by aperture-crazy members here who lead me to the path of 50mm light! In fact, one of them is the very same guy that "forced" me to upgrade my ETX90EC to an ETX105EC a few years back even though I had placed the order for the 90mm then!
stay tuned, when he comes back, he may "force" me to upgrade to a Nexstar 9.25GPS...
