I am envious of you Ekezial,I am sure we would love to see more space pic, can you manage to bring your scope along to the maldives?

Hi There,

We all wish we have such a job! It'll be fun isn't it?? :D
Ekezial went to French Polynesia, not Maldives. I'm going to Maldives though, and will be bringing my scope and a 20x80mm Giant Bino. :wink:
Hopefully the weather will be good for some observation.

Looks like i've got another chance of going to another island in French Polynesia called Rimatara in late Oct! :D Better brush up on my digital astro-photography,maybe chrisyeo can give me some tips?

It's Official! i'm going to French Polynesia again! and this time it's a even longer stay of 1 month! :shock:
it's an island this time and prob be a diff experiance,the island is called rimatara and it's even more remote than anna and less inaccessable. i already feel sick thinking of the ultra long boat journey :help:

this time i'll bring a better camera,i wish i have a canon 300/350D :P ,and some image processing software like iris. any other recommendations?
The night sky there will be SUPER!

will be leaving on the 15 oct and might be back on the 18th of nov :cry: i'm going to miss my family very very much :cry:

.looks like this island have extremely clear skies but getting any decent equipment there to make full use of it is out of the question.
but at least you will be able to make do with an ED80 with 410 head and 190D tripod...heh heh
