At US$530 for the 127mm, I would suggest this one instead: http://www.telescope.com/shopping/produ ... word=150mm

despite the fact that i do not like bushnell, the 127mak which they are selling is a little bit too cheap. the etx-125 with autostar are going in the 1k usd range. the nexstar 5 are also in the 1k usd range. the bushnell 127 mak is in the $500 usd range.

Hi,
It seem like they take the OTA from Sky-Watcher MCT and put on their "GOTO Mount".

By the way, just by looking at the eyepieces (4mm and 25mm) that come with the scope, I just wonder what else in the package that isn't suitable for practical astronomy...

Have a nice day.

prolly the finder, diagonal, eyepieces and the tripod are of disposable grade. i would be very happy if the ota is from skywatcher. if the scope and goto mount would performs decently, why not

Actually, the scopes MAY be of the synta origin. i'm only making a guess but the focal lengths seems oddly the same as those synta ones. the only execption is the 127mm one, but the difference is almost negligable 1500(skywatcher), 1540(orion) and 1550(bushnell)
