Upgraded GR2 mount

For lightweight scopes like the C5 ota, the Astroslew is stable enough that you do not require the counterweights or counterweight shaft, hence the setup is very portable. For C8 ota, the counterweight & shaft is probably recommended for better stability, smoothness and to prevent the scope from tipping over!

Astroslew Alt-azimuth mount: S$ 410.00, weight: 2.7Kg (delivered with all required high quality stainless steel screws)

Stainless Steel counterweight shaft: S$ 65.00 (20mm dia., 400 mm length), weight: 0.88 Kg

Dovetail saddle plate combo: S$ 109.00, weight: 0.56 Kg (dovetail bar: top: 55 X 150mm, bottom: 43 X 150 mm; thickness: 22mm; dovetail angle: 75 degree; Saddle plate: 72 mm dia. disc shape base with two 8mm holes (centre to centre separation: 35mm) )

Very impressive.

I saw the design two days ago when I visited denebman. Very well made and the movement is very smooth.

The price is also good.

Greta to know that we have a Made in Spore mount that is better than those German Giro mounts.

The saddle is S$ 79 if it is sold separately. Try before you decide to buy.
