Airconvent,

I will reconfirm with RP, but as discussed, RP are fine with members of the public coming as long as there is crowd and noise control, and they do not roam around the school.

For publicity, please wait a couple of days as a poster/flyer is being produced that gives details to the public, so you can use that when sending out information.

Cheers,
Chris

If you feel that Mars Watch 2005 is a worthwhile effort to spread the understanding and joys of astronomy, and you would like to support this event, I'd like to welcome donations of any kind to be part of our lucky draw or to help pay for printing/materials/etc.

I thank you sincerely in advance.

Thanks to all who have offered to donate. I will contact you as and when I need more cash, but if you don't hear anything from me it just means that I don't need it yet. Thank you!

Dear All,

Please note that Mars will be visible only from 9pm on October 29th.

I've checked and it rises to only 20 degrees at 9 pm, so if you are inviting members of the public do make sure to let them know rather than have them dissapointed.

If one arrives before 9pm one can should use the time to check out
1. the poster exhibitions
2. the vendor corner
3. the telescopes on display
4. A talk by VinSnr at 8pm
5. (maybe) a talk by me at at either 7.30 or 8.30
6. talk to others and ask questions.

An email flyer will be ready tomorrow. Please wait for it.

Cheers,
Chris

Dear All,

This event is jointly organised by:
1. Republic Polytechnic Astronomy Club (President: Jin Peng)
2. Singapore Polytechnic Astronomy Club (President: Geraldine)
3. Other members of Singastro (Mooey, Omega, David, Weixing, Richards etc. etc.)

They too deserve your recognition. Please lend them your support!

Cheers,
Chris

Is anyone giving a talk on figuring and polishing of mirrors?

Just wondering...
[80% Steve, 20% Alfred] ------- Probability of Clear Skies = (Age of newest equipment in days) / [(Number of observers) * (Total Aperture of all telescopes present in mm)]
