Almost full waning moon (webcam mosaic)

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Almost full waning moon (webcam mosaic)

Post by rcj »

Hi,
have uploaded a new picture of the waning (almost full) moon taken last night when it finally cleared up after midnight. This is a collaboration image with neoterryjoe using his vintage orange C5 SCT and the Toucam Pro II web-camera. The mosaic contains about 20 component frames, with each component frame being a collective stack of about 450 sub frames from the respective AVI. It was clear with a little light haze present.

You can view the image up close over here under lunar171205
