CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Did you all realised the registax series of software was developed by Core Berrevoets and our Albert Lim of Science Centre astroscience, i was reading a paper which cites their development jointly on the logic of stacking and the removal of the noise algorithm. This is really one up for " Singapore astro community"

BTW can some one email me the file AVI2BMP exe file for stacking purpose, as i could no longer find the version i wanted ie v49. my email is wucy24@singnet.com.sg - thanks

hi wcy,
yes. Albert has mentioned this few months back when I visited him at his shop. Should have feedback to him to recommend the software author to provide a more detailed document on sampling, drizzling feature, FFT, and most importantly the wavelet functions! Was hoping to see a tutorial with a more consistent and concise approach rather than eyeballing it.

Grandeye website has a good tutorial on registax 2, but you are right, there isn't a good tutorial for registax 3 yet...
Maybe singastro should provide on on the website...
