Can anybody help me with this?
Because i have used a red dot finder for very long with my scope, i feel very lost without the red dot now. add a non-correct-image finder makes my finding objects always very frustrating. I've been wanting to mount both the red dot and the finder together, but until now i still see no way to do it.
The bottom of my red dot finder is not a flat surface, but an arch shaped bottom to fit into the skywatcher series finderscope base. Plus, the finderscope base is elevated, so when i tried (a futile attempt) to use the thick kind of double sided tape to put the red dot on the scope, the up/down adjustment of my red dot couldn't even reach the target.. I need to find a way to tape the red dot finder onto my scope, or else i'll have to keep changing finders just to find a hard to find object.. very leceh and sometimes i'll also accidentally hit my finderscope which means i need to REALIGN it again!!
Any suggestions on how to mount the red dot on the scope nicely?

- The base of the finderscope. It is elevated, so my red dot can't reach the target if mounted on the scope's surface.

- The base of the red dot finder. The base is not flat, and even has a protrusion at the end of the base (left of base) so i can't mount it nicely on the surface.

- How i'd like it to look like finally. The red dot is now attached only by thick double sided tape, and hangs precariously..

Hi,

Have a nice day.
Hmm... I think you just need to have patient and you'll get used to it. Also, just turn your star chart upside down and what you see will match the star chart.... and it free... hee heeI'll note and find prices of the base or another flat-base RDF when i book out again.. meanwhile, any other possible solutions?

Have a nice day.
