Carpark 215A Observation session

Post by antares2063 »

Hi all,

I will be observing this saturday (14/01/06) from around 8.30pm onwards at the multistorey carpark, all are welcome to join anytime. I will be there regardless of clear skies, cloudy or rainy. If it is raining, most probably I will go to the nearby Long John Silvers and wait and see how.

Best regards,

I will try to make it after my badminton game. Would love to catch a glimpse of Jupiter since I missed it last week :)

To become a member of the elite SEALs (Sea, Air, Land , heard of the US Navy SEALs? hehe...)

There are some requirements to pass :P :

1) Interested in stargazing & observation, basically spending more time under the night sky.
2) Able to carry a 6 inch newtonian setup, including GEM mount, counterweights, tube rings, tripod legs, eyepieces etc. everything on at one shot. No two trips needed.
3) Able to walk with the setup from Bedok North Ave 3 to East coast Park Carpark G area. (or a route equivalent to that distance)

Best regards,

Antares: you should be a Civil Defence Red Rhino.
(just don't paint your wheels in gold colour and no dual speed side mirror control..  )

- All ready to move out in 30 sec when clear sky call!
- Be the first to reach the OB site with full setup.
- On Vehicle GPS, CD player, mug holder etc. . . haha
- Batu Layar?.. no problem

The sun is finally out, hope that tomorrow night will have chance to have relatively clear skies.!!
