Sun Party??

Post by jermng »

Hi,
With the introduction of the Coronado PST, it seems Solar observation is changing radically compared to when we could only view sun spots. =)
And now they're introducing the CaK version with a COOL BLUE solar image (from what I gather). =)

Well, honestly, I have never had a chance to view the sun through a PST before and am pretty curious how it would look like and I'm sure there are others who are not as fortunate too. =)

I'm was just wondering if some of the PST owners or even a vendor like Lee could "organise" something to allow people like me to experience a H-a or even CaK(if that's in SPore already) look of the sun. =)

It seems like during a recent informal survey on an American Astro Forum, the PST was one the most used scopes of 2005 and I was tempted to join the PST fever but am not ready to throw in the money yet .. =)

Maybe just an informal gathering? When the skies are clearer of course ... =)

Just a thought.

From what I've read in a review (S&T ?), the CaK version is really more for solar photography than visual use. But the pictures in their ads look pretty awesome ! :)

Maybe the next product coming out will be one which only allows the green spectrum. Then they will complete the RGB components for imaging. hahaha... :D

Hate to say this but...I think that will also be the time where we will have one of the biggest scams concerning Wolf-Rayet stars... =P
