Its ok . My point of reasoning is this: I have been going to reunion dinners for 20+ consecutive years. Just missing one this year wont make much of a difference. Besides, the relatives always ask and me the same old questions.

Im sick of it already.

I rather try out my telescope this weekend cos its the holiday period, got time to stay up late.

The last time I said "missing one won't make much difference", I never get to see my beloved cousin again, only his corpse, few months later. He went missing the next day. My friend replied "next time" to his aunt's invitation to her house. One week later when he attended her wake and visit his aunt's house, his aunt's not there to welcome him anymore. She died of heart attack few days after her invitation.

Never say it dun make much difference. But happy obbing anyway. I'd pray for a clear sky on your behalf.

Klutz .. Relax lah ... No need to go to the extreme ... although I see your good intentions ...

But of course, I agree with the rest of the guys ... We've got 365 nights a year .. even if only 10% of them are good, we've got 36 possible ob nights .. in a year ... (which is the lowest I would ever wanna imagine)
It'll take 36 years to have 36 re-union dinners ...

Don't worry, the scope will still be there after CNY ... =)

Hi,
Hmm... Reunion dinner didn't take much time, unless you are having a eight to ten course dinner... :P :P :P

Anyway, can always go observation after reunion dinner... won't be sleeping early, right?? I also go observation after my reunion dinner... it is my post-reunion dinner activity... :)

Have a nice day.

there is an article today in the newspapers by some lady expressing how shock she was that many young people don't bother with reunion dinners but are more obsessed with christmas and the holidays. for the american equivalent (thanksgiving day), it was said that no matter how poor or busy, they will make their way back to celebrate with the loved ones, etc...
I think we have become a victim of our society's fast pace where tradition are considered not cool...

anyway, we are getting way off topic here...can we please return to the thread, i.e. stargazing AFTER reunion dinner on 28 Jan....  those who want to attend can add their names here :
