its all the same rainbow... its all relative to ur position and never "localized"... its got to do with the angle rain mist drizzle watever against sunlight that causes the rainbow....
starfinder wrote: BTW, the most number of rainbows I've ever seen was in Hawaii in December 2001. I went to 3 islands (Oahu, the Big Island of Hawaii, and Kau'ui) and saw lots of rainbows nearly everyday. I must have seen dozens in the 10 days I was there. Quite amazing. There was once I saw 3 rainbows at once in 3 different areas of the sky. Here in S'pore, I see them only about 2-3 times in a year. I wonder why such a difference.
angle to the sun.. amount of droplets... thats the difference... it seems that when im out in the sea i see more rainbows!! ever!! ahehe

haha, my friend was telling me that the rainbow caused a jam on KJE while he was driving home... why? cos lotsa motorists stopped their cars by the side to take photos >.< (well ok my friend was guilty as well)

rainbows are formed cos of refraction and internal reflection of sunlight in raindrops.. and the 2nd rainbow is formed when light is refracted differently at the droplet surface.. yup rainbows are actually complete circles, formed directly opp the sky from the sun (i.e. the centre of the rainbow is 180 degrees from the sun), but we see an arc cos the rest of it is below the horizon..

the rainbows all over sg were prob the same rainbow.. as long as the sun is behind, there are water droplets in the sky, then the rainbow will be in front of you, appearing from wherever in sg you were ;)
