My first attempt using CCDStack...

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

My first attempt using CCDStack...

Post by Tachyon »

This is the stacked image from the blue filter... and another after processing using CCDStack. More steps are required than for Maxim/DL, but the results can be quite satisfying...

Hi Rich!

This is M33. The stars are not squarish, if you look closely, you can see the faint spikes that merge into the circular image of the star.

It's all clouded at my place... is it clear at your side?

Cheers!

around 2+ am, huge clouds came in and covered 90% of the sky but oddly, after packing up, the sky cleared up again....had a little haze though...
