Care to elaborate how the bino is expensive to you? I don't understand your question.

Have you compared the specifications with other models to reach this conclusion? From our survey, this is the best in terms of overall performance. Of course I would love to hear your criteria.

If you were to compare the Vixen Ascot models to what the Europeans are selling (around 250 Euros), I don't think it's justified to say that it's expensive.

When buying, try to consider other aspects other than price. What's most important should be the night time performance and durability.

If you could get european make goods and with ASEAN price, then you definitely will benefit all singastro members and probably members in M'sia.

We should not compare Apple with Apple on price with the rich European! Their standard of living is very high and pay well. I don't think 90% of all of us could enjoy that kind of earning.

Hence, let come back to what I want to say. Very simple: sell us much more cheaper than our friend in Europe! we are not create equally in money sense. don't you think so?

Note: If you walk around our shopping centre, you know who has the buying powers? Not me, of course. but mainly tourists from ... You probably guess and witness the transactions. They are White People (can be from ...) but so few of Yellow People!

Remark: If you try to sell me items that I cannot afford, then just forget the deal as I have to spend my hard earned money on living instead of HOBBY! I hope my message is clear to you and all vendors in this trade.

Thanks for your interesting message.

The Vixen is made in Japan, not Europe and right now they have ASEAN prices.

We don't want to sell items that people here cannot afford as we'll not be making any business! We might as well close shop for good.

As I mentioned before about getting monkeys if you pay peanuts, the rules of optics still require a minimum sum of investment to obtain a quality product.

Of course we're aware that there is still a segment of consumers here who may have difficulty in enjoying astronomy due to financial situation. McGill has always believed that astronomy can be an affordable hobby and hence will try our best to help such people like having student promotion and the like.

Eric, please PM or call me so that I can help with your budget and come up with a better alternative for you.

I am not in the hurry to get another pair of bino as I currently own one.

Hey Eric,
Some of the goods need shipment in from overseas thus jacking prices up a little. Astronomy is not a cheep hobby and need a lil investment. Try to get the best bang out of your buck ya?

I just got lucky to found one 7x50 Bushnell (Made in Phillipines) bino with excellent view (lens are greenish) at last week warehouse sales at Alexandra DistriPark at very good price.

There are so many others binos (also some Bushnell telescopes) on sales but just stick with the strongly recommended 7x50 bino!
