WTS: Meade 4000 series SWA 18mm (sold)

For sale: a Meade 18mm Super Wide Angle eyepiece with 67 deg AFOV, fitted with a rubber eyecup and threaded for 1.25" filters. Made in Japan.

For me, it works very well for observing deep sky objects in a C8. Compact in size like a standard plossl, it would be a fine complement together with a 32mm plossl for deep sky work.

In excellent condition, it also comes with a Meade boltcase and original box. It is no longer in production. I bought it new for $150 USD, but now you can have it for just $150 SGD.

What is the eye relief? How does it perform on a fast scope?

Hi Yang Beng,

I have not managed to get any info on the eye-relief for this ep, though it is definitely not a long-eye relief like 20mm. Also, I have not tried it on a fast scope; but if you are interested to test it out, just let me know.
