FS : Set of 4 Tak LE EDs - all sold

Will shortly put on sale on astromart a complete set of Tak LE EDs -- 2.8, 3.6, 5 and 7.5 mm. All excellent condition, like new. All with boxes and end caps (Tak does not supply caps, need to buy separately).

Unlike the 9, 12, 18, 24 and 30mm, these use ED elements. Selling because I'm willing to live with shorter eye relief and smaller FOV to gain the very little extra offered by Pentax XP, XO and AP SPLs. Not all will agree that is worth it. That said, no eyepiece will beat the LE EDs in every category -- to gain in one will mean sacrificing another attribute.

Will only sell as a set or separate if buyers for all the eyepieces can be found. Fyi, Tak prices have gone up. Priced below discounted Japan or Grandeye prices, $1000 for the set. Trades for Pentax XOs and XPs possible. Please message me.

Elton, how does the Tak 7.5 compare with the Pentax 8XP?

Could not see a difference because magnification was too low on the scope i used. I compared the 3.6 LE with the 3.8XP on the Teleport and the XP was very slightly better only after very careful examination. At first glance they both look the same. The LE was more comfortable to use though.
