My imaging problem !

Post by boothee »

Dear Friends,

Do you have any idea what is happening to my imaging. I don't know how to explain you so I uploaded the screen shot.

Is that because of my telescope? Barlow? Camera? Adaptor? Or Setting?
It happens especially while I attach my barlow.

Thanks for your help and looking forward to your replies . . .

Hi,

Looks like some reflection somewhere, either within the adaptor or from the glass elements of barlow.

Hi Boothee,

You might know this already, it would be desirable to blacken the internal exposed surface of the barlow and webcam adapter first. Sensor can be particularly prone to any reflection cause by bright object like the Moon within the imaging train.

Hi,
Base on your picture, I think it may be cause by your home made barlow... Looks to me that the inner side is not darken and look reflective. Since Moon is quite bright, so the Moon light will cause internal reflection when it pass through your barlow.

May be you should try image without the barlow or darken the inner side of your barlow and try image again.

Have a nice day.

Dear Chaps,

Thank you very much for your kind replies . . .

You are right. The inner side of the telescope painted with dull black. I'll try to paint the inner side of the adaptor and barlow with dull black. Thanks a lot!

I'll surely let you know the result.

:)
