ACC, I am making good use of your ex-az mount

After my last astroslew mount was loaned, my TMB115 has to rest on your ex- Gibraltar az mount, and it works!

Wow that looks good. :)
BTW, how did you attach the scope to the mount?
Ive got a similar mount but can't figure a way to attach my OTAs to the mount other than the OTA that came with it. :)

It is easy as long as you have tube rings and mounting plate, I drilled one more hole in the mounting plate to make the hole separation 40 mm, which is exactly the hole separation of TV Gibraltar mount. Very simple. :)

Hi,
Yes... The Gibralter mount is very good... Very smooth... But too expensive for me.... :(

Have a nice day.

8-) The cost is not as high as buying a brand new CNC tmb115 from APM, Germany. I bought the lens cell, feather touch focuser separately and ask someone to combine them together.

CC, now your ex-TV 85 is on a Manfrotto 501 video head and a more portable gitzo 1224 tripod. I think the Gibraltar mount is originally built for TV 102 since its altitude axis aligns perfectly with tmb 115's thicker tube, now it is a free-stop everywhere without increasing the tension of locking screw. thanks :)
