Sites in Malaysia

Post by JY »

Hi,

I will be driving to Kuala Lumpur next week and plan to bring some equipment to image the Milky Way.
Unfortunatelly, I cannot join the Mersing expedition next the week end (family) ...

- Is there a dark site near Kuala Lumpur (+/- 100 km) ?

- Is it easy to drive from KL to Singastro site in Mersing ? How long would it take ? 2-3 hours or more ?

Thank you and clear skies

I would hazard a guess of at least 3 hours. You would need to drive south first, to maybe the town of Kulai, before making your way to the JB-Mersing 'highway'.
We do it in the dark...

It is from Lin.

Nice to read her earthlog, she talks about another site in Malaysia: Tebing Tinggi, Segamat.
