I have been busy promoting Singastro.org in the newsgroups and foreign astronomy lists. Also doing it on Pocket PC User Group as well.
So how are the rest of you spreading the good word??
ps I only hope I don't get flamed posting off topic stuff on some Newsgroups!

Btw, some of my friends, including me, get nothing when we key in www.singastro.org
just a blank page..... could only get here with the link from the e-mail message.... Is there a seperate domain name to reach this site?

Every time i look into the sky, i wonder,
who's eyes am i looking at, staring back at me.
Whose eyes sees a different world, one which i could only imagine.
Whose sky may be blue, red or green, one which his air determines.

Starting to get some replies coming back from my posts in soc.culture.singapore. Realised how ignorant some of those people out there are about astronomy. One asked me why waste time since Mars is gone and will have to wait many years to see it again...

Unless I am wrong, the Search Engine works according to 2 methods, the first being their own bot scouring the web for us AND number of requests made for this site through yahoo.Terry wrote:Have this website get sumitted to the search engines?
If you type "Singapore Astronomy" under yahoo, you will turn up quite a few surprises including siva's site, remus and harlequinastronomics but mostly TASOS related web pages...
To improve the index, I think more people have to be searching for singastro on yahoo.com
Typing "singastro" will yield the yahoogroups as well as many of our member's webpages including siva, jeremy, yiren, shuan, charlie, etc but still no singastro.org yet...
Typing "singastro.org" yields nothing!
