Is it easy to locate and drive there? Is the area safe actually. I've been told that side of Johor is a little more dangerous than mersing..otherwise 30min drive is really quite attractive. the light pollution is a turn off though...
It easy to go,
turn right at Gelang Patah town itself....
drive abt 4km to a T junction, there is a sign board to ulu pulai, turn left heading to ulu pulai at the t junction,
drive all the way for abt 4km, you will see a huge orchid farm on the right hand site. immediate after the orchid farm you will see a right turn (sort of a mud track) turn in here all the way and you are there.
If you reach another major T junction, you already overshot the site.

Safety wise, I have not had any problem at this part of johore before (touch wood). This site also quite well hidden.

Hi Jin Peng!

There is actually another thread with the details of how to get to Mersing. Driving or by public transport?

First you go up the trunk road towards Kota Tinggi and then up to Mersing town. From there you go north a bit to a turning to Tg. Resang. Turn right, go all the way to the end, and you're there.

To take a public transport, take a bus (170) to Larkin terminal. There are buses there to Mersing Town, but they run only on certain hours and I think only a few times a day. Check first.
When you reach Mersing, look for some uncles who usually are directing traffic and arranging cabs. Ask if any taxi is willing to take you to Tanjong Resang. Should be able to get one. It will cost about 40 ringgit.

There are several chalets along that stretch. I don't have any contact, sorry.

Cheers,
Chris
