We have large group of overseas visitor as well as local students so we are looking for more Singastro scope owner to provide pleasant star gazing experience and good memories to them. You will help us to play host for the Astronomy Night.
If you have previous arrangement to the event (eg. Going with your school teacher), then abide to your arrangement. For other scope owner who willing to share your knowledge and the view throuht your scope, please contact me so that I can expend the invitation to you. Email me at

The last thing I personally wish to see is the annoying red light becon next to my setup, if you know what I mean. I am doing so for Singatro member only.
Date of the event: 14 July 2006 Friday afternoon till 15 July morning (optional). The detail will be in my invitation letter. Thanks all..

As I am teaching in a primary school, I know it would be not a strong reason for me to get time-off from my bosses to attend this secondary school/JC/higher institution event... I guess those in my profession will understand the difficulty of justification. The management is not obliged to accede to personal requests.
But if I am able to have some time (my own time after work) that evening (is it going to be held till night for obs?) I'll be around for a visit. I will not be bringing equipment if I'm coming straight from my school. If I go home first, I may bring my 80mm refractor and portal mount... but that will mean I'll have to come much later (at least 2 hours for me to travel to-and-fro).
Afterall, NIE/NTU is my alma mater and I'll support the event to be held there.
