southern tip of Batam if anyone keen
Let me know if you are going. Another option is Belakang Padang near Batam. It should be darker there.

We have been south of Batam, there are very dark skies like Mersing but there is still some light pollution (30-40 deg from horizon) from S'pore/Batam. Getting thru customs can be a hassle, as I got thru ok but Wxg had a bit of problem even though we both carry identical aluminium cases. Sometimes need a bit of vitamin M to get thru... if you get the drift.
