What do you mean by looks different? It looks the same as other spiral galaxies, only much bigger since it's so close..

No... that's only central part of the M31 Andromeda Galaxy... I don't have a focal reducer on it and my Sky-Watcher 120 F8.3 focal length is too long (1000mm), so unable to capture the whole M31...Wow! Great picture Wei Xing. You can take the whole thing in without the reducer?
