Date taken: Sept 08th 2006 (local time)
Description: Partial lunar eclipse animation
Equipment: Canon 350D prime focus @ 80mm f/7.5 refractor , fixed tripod.

I was going to upload my composite image (http://www.singastro.org/files/gerhana2_483.jpg) of the eclipse, but then I thought, why not the whole event? (well, most of the event), minus the huge imaginary spaceship :P

14 frames were taken randomly over the 2hrs period and unfortunatelly all of the frames suffered image rotation since I forgot to lock my focuser rotator (oopsie). I had to fix each frames individually prior to the animation alignment, and i think the result turned pretty well.

btw, i forgot to include the year 2006 on the pic's title info  , can someone fixed it for me pls.

thanks, and clear skies,

Jefferson Teng

Hi Boothee,

Very nice! If you have the full-resolution picture on a photo-sharing site somewhere, go ahead and post the link. I'm sure people would like to see it full resolution as well.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your comments!

I processed only base on a small picture as you limit the size on announcement. But I quickly reprocess the picture with bigger resolution and post on a site as you suggested.

I'm happy to share my bigger resolution picture to you all. Here is the link.

The Moon

One of my first attempt on the moon!

Using my Fuji S5000 cam and point direct to the eye piece of a Celestron C8 telescope to compose this image.

This is a kinda wide angle shot of the moon behind the clouds. Don't remember when exactly it was taken. Using a Canon A75, 3x zoom.
