New scopes

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

actually, given the rate of development in apos, maybe in 20-30 years time, the real concern of owning a 10" apo is not the cost, but rather the bulk. start buying land to built that 10 meter observatory.

Perhaps in the future they can design and make a 10 inch f/5 or f/4 APO refractor and just mount it like a dob! But it would cost like a ferrari....

haha that's very true though. I fear there'll be no more dark sky eventually to let us and our future people experience.. then even an affordable 20" APO also no use.
Stargazing ... is an excuse to stay up past bedtime that never fails!

We got to protect our skies. How to convince government to protect the night sky? Modification to the road lamps are actually saving their money as the lamps can consume less watt.
