Another clear night!

It was really clear again tonight!

I picked up a few accesories for my mount and SCT last week but haven't had any chance to use them.

Went down to Bedok at 12mn to pick up something from Arief, chat awhile, pump petrol, wash car .... when I reached home at about 1am, I looked up and the hunter was smiling at me - I'm sure I could hear Canis Major barking too.

Quickly went up and setup my stuff, change tripod, blah blah and rushed straight down.

It was a good night. Tried out the C8 with the AstroSlew on the CG-5 tripod and a few other accesories I'm trying out.

Got pretty good results and several pointers for projects to do on the many not so good nights ... Also realised a few stuff didn't fit.

Overall a great night - even the stars were smiling, not giggling (twinkling).

Yah it was clearing up at 11.30pm but it was already so late!! I need to go to work in the morning. Arrgghh. I was contemplating if I should set up my scope but I need at least 2h to be productive and to make it worth the effort setting it up. It seems like it gets clearer very 'early' these nights. Especially these few days the morning sky is blue so I am pretty sure that towards morning it was clear.

Good to hear you had a good time under the stars.
Did it stay clear until early morning?
I am thinking of waking up at midnight if there is the possibility of several hours of clear sky.

It seems like these nights, the sky clear up around or after midnight. I saw this pattern for many nights, btw 12mn to 2am it clear up even it was very cloudy b4 10pm.

With skies like these, I won't mind sacrificing some sleep!

Anyway, JY, I don't know if it stayed clear till morning, I came back up at around 230.
