For photography, you can use drift alignment - google it, you'll find lots of detailed sites.

Maybe about 30s or a minute.weixing wrote:That's depend on how short is your "short exposure" and the focal length of your scope too. By the way, you'll have more problems in Astrophotography on the CPC.
Read about it before in a few sites. I also watched a video from Andysshotglass.jermng wrote:For photography, you can use drift alignment - google it, you'll find lots of detailed sites.
Hmm... I'm not sure... C8 focal length is quite long even with focal reducer (around 1250mm), but I think it is still posible. FYI, I'm able to get a decent 1 mintue exposure image on a 1000mm scope without using a GOTO mount.Maybe about 30s or a minute.
I think if your exposure is around 1 mintue, I think you may still can get away with it if you use a GOTO mount and do drift star alignment. FYI, I also didn't do the drift alignment for the latitude part for all my images... due to save time, lazy and enviroment limitation (a lots of excuseAccording to this thread, the lowest latitude the mount can go is 2 degrees. So even with drift alignment, won't it be inaccurate?
